Age 68, suddenly on Saturday, November 6, 2021; beloved husband of 43 years of Joyce (Annibale) Pfender; cherished father of Andrew (Beverly) Pfender, Christopher (Tina) Pfender, and Robert (Arden) Pfender; and soon-to-be grandfather; son of the late George and Clara Pfender. He is survived by brothers, George (Mary) Pfender, Charles (Diane) Pfender; sisters, Bernadette Warner and Marge (Ed) Ratay; and brother, Joseph (Renee) Pfender. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Rich was a lover of nature and gardening. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was a longtime devoted member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Family and friends welcome Tuesday 2-8 p.m. WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10 a.m. SS Simon & Jude Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
