Margaret (Peggie) Dunklin, 55, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born at Mercy Hospital on June 9, 1966 to the late John F. Miller Jr. and Ruth Rodgers Miller - the 10th out of 11 children. She graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1984 and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988 with a Bachelors degree in Communications. In 2021, Peggie graduated with a Master's of Law Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.

Peggie spent her entire life as a "Pittsburgher;" growing up in Cranberry and moving to Oakdale later in life with her loving husband (Marvin) and children (Michael and Maura). She worked for the University of Pittsburgh for 33 years in various jobs and leadership roles, with the last nine years as Director of Budget and Human Resources for the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA). Pitt achieved unprecedented undergraduate enrollment success during her tenure. The OAFA team credits that success in part on the extraordinary work that Peggie did, day in and day out, to support the OAFA ecosystem and the University's enrollment goals.

Peggie had many passions first and foremost being her children and grandson (William Flynn), going to the casino, listening to music, watching the Hallmark channel, gardening, and anything Pitt related. Blue and gold were part of her soul...right to the very end, Peggie cheered for Pitt, with everyone holding hands and singing Sweet Caroline before she passed. She loved listening to music, especially during the last few weeks of her life where singing with her family brought her great joy and happiness.

Her affinity to help others and her kindness is by far her greatest legacy. Peggie was the kind of person that saw potential within everyone she crossed paths with and worked tirelessly for those around her. She made you a better person simply by being in her presence and she had a way of making you feel like you were the only person in the room with her unconditional love and support. In the words of Maya Angelou, from her favorite quote, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Peggie lived every single day of her life with that quote in mind. She will live on in the hearts of those she loved through the impact she had on each and every one of them and she will be forever remembered as the beautiful, kind, and selfless woman that she was.

Peggie is survived by her husband, Marvin; her two children, Michael Hohn (Ashley) and Maura Hohn; her grandson William Flynn; her ten brothers and sisters, John F. Miller III (Page), Dr. Michael Miller (Carla), Dennis Miller (Leslie), Susan DeFrancesco (Gary), Michelle Miller, Colleen Mahoney (Peter), Mary Lococo (Sam), William Rodgers Miller (Cindy), Timothy Miller (Jennifer), and Kathleen McKay (Gary); and all of her nieces and nephews.
