Age 68, of Pittsburgh, formerly of New Castle, on Monday, April 27, 2020. Beloved husband of Beth Ann (Horgan) Retort; son of the late Joseph E. Retort, Sr and Charlotte A. (Pagley) Retort; loving father of Zachary Retort; brother of Charles T. Retort, David A. Retort and Deborah J. (Ronald) Tomon; many nieces and nephews. Joe was born on December 6, 1951 in New Castle, PA. He was a 1969 graduate of Union High School, a 1973 graduate of Youngstown State University and a 1976 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He was retired Acting Regional Director of Human Relations Commission for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with 40 years of service. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic guidelines visitation and services will be PRIVATE. Expressions of condolences can go to the family via www.slaterfuneral.com.
