Mary and family,
I am so sorry for your lost. I have know Robert for at least 50 years and he was always genuine. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. I am recovering from an operation and I am concerned about covid, so i will not be able to attend in person. My wife will still ask me to "make me an egg like Roberts". Bob Shirk

Mary, Iam very sorry for your loss. I grew up in Beechview and we went to school together for many years. I was a Pittsburgh Police Dispatcher for many years and spoke with Bob over the air and inperson many times. He was a very good policeman and a good person. He will be missed by many.

Heaven has gained an amazing angel. My favorite memories with Uncle Bob were the annual trips with the dads and kids to get Christmas trees. Trudging through the snow to find the best tree. Kids all over the place going to McDonald's or Dunkin' Donuts. Also his New years Eve parties with the great food and of course a groug drink, lol. He always had a smile on his face and hugs and kisses for you when you saw him. What an amazing husband, father, uncle, and friend. You will always have part of my heart!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Dear Kathy and to all of Bob's family,
So very sad to see of Bob's passing. He was one of the sweetest guys that ever came out of St. Justin's. I am so sorry for his wife, kids, grandkids and siblings who lost a wonderful and special man. Although it has been years since I saw Bobby it feels like yesterday when I look at his dear face. There is no doubt he is resting with God in heaven. What a wonderful life he lived giving totally to others.
You remain in my prayers and thoughts for comfort in your loss of this very loved man.
