Tribute & Message From The Family

Age 89, of Dormont, on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Beloved wife for 54 years of the late F. Regis Cyphers, Jr. Dear mother of Deborah (Darryl) Egler, Barry (Denise) Cyphers, Kathleen (Jeff) Kirk, Robert (Ellen) Cyphers, Dolores (Terry) Nypaver, Stephen (Lisa) Cyphers, Elaine Cyphers, Edward Cyphers, Barbara (Deacon Joseph) Kralik, Paul (Megan) Cyphers and the late James Cyphers and infant Ann Cyphers. Sister of Cyndi (Tom) Hartwig and the late Margie L. Draskovich, JoAnn Chizmar, Robert, and Richard Grupp. Also 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Eleanor's Catholic faith and large family were the two core passions in her life. She always put her children's needs ahead of her own and never quit worrying about them long after they were grown. She was an amazing seamstress and magically produced beautiful matching dresses for her daughters while the rest of the world slept. She also loved to garden and received many compliments from strangers passing her award winning and abundantly blooming front yard. She was funny, caring, and selfless and will be greatly missed by the many loved ones she leaves behind. Friends welcome Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish St. Pius X Church site, Thursday 11:00a.m. www.slaterfuneral.com

To my cousins,
If somebody had to ask, "What's a mom?" there would be no better answer than to point to Aunt Eleanor. What an unstoppable, relentless powerhouse of motherhood! She never quit; she barely paused. Anybody who came near got a little bit of it. She left us plenty to remember her by.
May your sorrow be mixed with many warm smiles.

We cherish so many great memories of Aunt Eleanor. We were always welcomed with warmth and love under her roof. Thinking now of many fond memories of Uncle Rege and Aunt Eleanor and happy times.

Lots of love to everyone.

Dear Family,

Sincerest sympathy to all; know that I hold great memories on both your parents each of whom I respected highly.

If any of us come as close to following their example God will be well pleased.

His blessing to all, will remember you all while at the final services.

Dear Barb & Joe,

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Eleanor. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the viewing or funeral Mass, but please be assured of my prayers for her, you, and your family. I will also add your mom's name to our Book of Prayer at the Seminary so that all the seminarians and faculty can remember daily in our Morning Prayer.

God Bless, Nick

"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, by the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen"
