George was, at different times, a colleague, friend, mentor, and finally a competitor. He gently urged me to join the SPECAD BOD (which I did). He generously helped me with technical problems. He told me what to expect when my daughter married into a Greek family! A rare and wonderful gentleman.

I just "stumbled" across this and I am shocked and saddened. I worked for George's father for several years and he was a great influence on me in my business career and was an excellent mentor. He thought the world of his son and I did have the privilege to meet GCR Jr. So sorry to see this.

Cerise - if you see this, please contact me via phone or text at 412/720-2295.

Sincerely, Lee Locasto

George and I were rookie pigment salesmen for competing companies in Chicago in the early 70s. George and I called on many of the same accounts - being the new salesmen in the territory. We became casual friends - George was always such a good guy. We stayed in touch for over 30 years as friends and competitors. It was always fun catching up with George at the RETEC meetings each year - such a pleasant and always smiling fellow. We worked closely as members of the SPE Fireland's section on the board and management of this section. Just a great guy - he left us too soon. Tim
