Robert (Bob) Doyle, 67, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on October 25, 2020 after several months of battling Leukemia. Robert, son of the late Dorothy and Leo Doyle, is survived by his wife Mary (Stack) of 30 years; children Tracy (Adam) Smith, Colleen (Kevin) Moore, David Doyle, Mary (Luke) Berardelli, Caitlin Doyle; siblings Susan (the late Maurice) Brassart, Nancy (Mike) Athanas, Kathy (Steve) Klein, Bill (the late Donna) Doyle, Ann (Andy) Kachmar, Marie (Steve) McGlynn; grandchildren Caleb, Bella, Illeana (Berardelli), Makenzie, Leighton, Cael, Teagen (Smith); beloved son-in-law of the late Erma and Jack Stack, also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
Bob was a man who lived a life of service. He served in the United States Army for 2 years, was a dedicated City of Pittsburgh police officer for 25 years, and was an active member of the SS. Simon and Jude Church. After retiring, Bob devoted much of his time to the Church in countless ways, especially the St. Vincent De Paul Society, working as the safe environment coordinator, 412 Appalachia mission trips and the parking guru for the annual SSJ festival. He was humbled at the opportunities to serve the Lord in so many ways, especially as a Eucharistic minister, altar server and lector for daily mass. A special thank you to the amazing doctors and staff at UPMC Shadyside (7-Main) and Hillman cancer center. What a blessing to have encountered so much care and compassion these past several months.
Friends welcome TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY, 2 - 4 pm & 6-8 pm at William Slater II Funeral Service (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp 15220. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am THURSDAY in SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Burial to follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Ss. Mary and family,
I am so sorry for your lost. I have know Robert for at least 50 years and he was always genuine. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. I am recovering from an operation and I am concerned about covid, so i will not be able to attend in person. My wife will still ask me to "make me an egg like Roberts". Bob Shirk

Heaven has gained an amazing angel. My favorite memories with Uncle Bob were the annual trips with the dads and kids to get Christmas trees. Trudging through the snow to find the best tree. Kids all over the place going to McDonald's or Dunkin' Donuts. Also his New years Eve parties with the great food and of course a groug drink, lol. He always had a smile on his face and hugs and kisses for you when you saw him. What an amazing husband, father, uncle, and friend. You will always have part of my heart!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
