Hollis T. Hurd Obituary

Hollis was one of my freshman roommates at Haverford College. I remember when he took up karate and practiced in our living room area night after night. Hardworking, decent and generous of spirit would be just a few adjectives to describe him. He was one of the good ones. We will miss him. Condolences to his family and all who loved him.

One of my fondest memories of my time spent with Hollis was when my family happened to be in Hawaii the same time as him and Diane. We worked out a way to book an excursion together which consisted of touring an organic farm situated at the top of a mountain overlooking the coastline and water, followed by a long, fresh lunch cooked for us.
