We in the Economics Department at Allegheny College were very sad to receive the unfortunate news of Arman's passing. Arman graduated from our department in 2018, and was well-liked by his professors. He was very quiet, respectful and friendly. He was a delight to have in class, and I personally enjoyed the many conversations we had in my office. I supervised his undergraduate thesis, and was impressed by the passion he brought into the process. We are very happy to

Arman was and will always be a great friend to me - we spent so much time together at Aiken and through high school. He always had a joke on hand to elicit a laugh from someone - it seemed to bring him the most joy when he was able to make those around him smile. At the same time, he also had wisdom beyond his years. I learned a lot from him - how to shape my perspective on

Dear Cliff, Christine, Cameron and the entire Dashti family,

We are so incredibly shocked and heartbroken by the loss of Arman. We unfortunately never got the chance to know Arman well, but we know that he had to be a very special young man to be part of such a loving family. You have our deepest sympathy and you are in our thoughts and prayers as you deal with this unbelievably difficult tragedy. May God bless and keep you close in this time of need.

Arman was a very carrying and talented young man who was very proud of his heritage. I enjoyed having him as a student. He was filled with light and the world has become darker with his passing. My deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to his parents and Cameron.

I interacted with Arman many times during his time at Allegheny. Although I did not have him in class, he would stop by my office to talk about current events or topics in Economics. He also served as a student representative on the Finance Committee, which I chaired. Arman was a serious, kind, and thoughtful young man. He always seemed very grateful for his opportunities at school. He was respectful of the faculty and staff and well-liked by everyone. My deepest condolences to Arman's family and friends.
